Dab in the North Sea is not overfished, as the biomass indicator of 143.85 in 2024, exceeds the MSY Btrigger proxy (Itrigger) of 99.54. The stock is also not subject to overfishing, as fishing pressure has remained below the FMSY proxy since 2014, and the catch limit of 28,238 tonnes was not exceeded in 2023 or 2024.
