Protect the ocean. Become a member.

The ocean covers over 70% of our planet. It provides more than half the oxygen we breathe and absorbs nearly a third of our carbon emissions.

For over 40 years, the Marine Conservation Society has been the expert voice in defending fragile habitats, restoring vital ecosystems and inspiring volunteers to confront ocean issues head-on.

Right now, it is in crisis. For years we have been polluting our waters, destroying precious habitats and reducing the ocean’s ability to help fight the climate crisis. With your help we can turn this around.

Your membership will:

  • Protect and restore the most vulnerable marine species, creating ocean environments thriving with life
  • Fund vital research, from sustainable food choices to the impact of forever chemicals on marine life
  • Drive evidence-based campaigning that ensures UK governments and businesses make decisions that work for our oceans
  • Educate young people on the magic of marine life and inspire them to take small steps to help save it
