Technical consultation summary
CEFAS stock assessment for area 7.e.I (inshore) shows Fishing pressure is below MSY, however there is concern for biomass,. Fluctuating harvestable biomass but downward trend in biomass since 2017. High resilience no concern for F, concern for B = 0.5. FIP has shown no signs of changes in management of the fishery despite 5 years of development but a Harvest strategy and improved management will hopefully be included in the national fisheries management plan which is in development. Management within CIFCA district is better which is why management score is 0.6
