Annual General Meeting 2022

Supporters joined us to hear about our achievements from 2021-2022 and gain an understanding of the opportunities and challenges the marine world faces.

The details

In 2022, we held our 31st Annual General Meeting. Available to all members, this virtual event was an opportunity to hear directly from some of our staff and trustees, cast your vote at our AGM and put your questions to our Board.

We heard from Dr Francesca Bevan, Policy and Advocacy Manager (Chemicals), who discussed ‘forever chemicals’. She explained what they are, why they're so damaging to marine life, what the Marine Conservation Society is doing about it and how you can help.

We also met the 2022 award winners, including the inspirational winners of the Young Ocean Optimist of the Year Award.
