Our supporter promise

Our team is so much bigger than our staff. Thousands of passionate supporters make it possible for the Marine Conservation Society to make a big impact.

Our supporters are vital to our success. Without your incredible support, we wouldn’t be able to fight for healthy seas, where nature flourishes and people thrive.

In return for your support we promise to:

Spend your donation well

In 2024-25, 80p of every £1 we received was spent on charitable activities, from educating future generations to restoring native species.

Value your time

For everyone who gives us their time to volunteer or to campaign, we promise to value your skills and your views so that you can help in a way that suits you.

In 2024-25, volunteers spent an incredible 17,132 hours completing 18,497 activites to positively impact our seas. This included a whole range of activities, but to give some real-world context, 16,731kg of litter was removed from UK beaches - that's the weight of 266 full-size fridges!
