Connecting with our Blue Heart

We wanted to tell the story of all the different ways our ocean is important to our future wellbeing and ensure that what really matters is not overlooked when decisions are being made about the future.

We shared Our Blue Heart and some of volunteers' stories in the run up to the Climate Conference in Glasgow in 2021 to add our voice to the vital call for commitments to ocean and planetary health.

What was the Our Blue Heart Project

Our Blue Heart was an ongoing exploration of what the ocean means to people. The project was launched in 2018 with the production of documentary film. Interviews up and down the country revealed a deep, fascinating and personally defining relationship between people and our ocean.
