Postcode Lottery
For the past decade, funds raised by players have been instrumental in driving positive change for our ocean, enabling us to deliver impact across all areas of our work.
Postcode Lottery: A powerful force for good
With loyal players across Great Britain contributing at least 30% of every ticket to charity (and over £1.5 billion raised for good causes since 2005), Postcode Lottery delivers the vital funding we need to tackle marine pollution, protect critical habitats and campaign for evidence‑based conservation.
Celebrating 10 years of support
Over the last decade, players’ long-term, unrestricted and flexible funding has powered our work towards a cleaner, better protected, healthier ocean. With £7.2 million received since 2015, their generosity has touched every corner of our work - from beach cleans and water quality campaigns to sustainable seafood and community engagement.
Our regular award has grown from £175,000 to an incredible £1.1 million each year - an invaluable long-term commitment that’s transformed our contribution to marine conservation.
We’re delighted that players’ support for the Marine Conservation Society has delivered real change for our seas. Over the last decade, this funding has underpinned critical marine protection work, such as cleaning up beaches, restoring coastal habitats, securing stronger policies against marine pollution, and empowering local communities with the data and tools needed to protect our precious marine life.

Major achievements thanks to players' support: from cleaner beaches to policy wins
These successes simply wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of players of Postcode Lottery, which has underpinned a remarkable range of our work.
