Fundraise

The money you raise will help us fight for our ocean and defend habitats and species.

Fundraising activities for DofE

You can complete the volunteering section of your DofE award by fundraising for us.

Our example three-, six- and 12-month plans take you through the fundraising process, from choosing an idea, through planning and promotion, to running the big day and collecting money.

DofE Assessors: Unfortunately we cannot act as Assessors for your award. Please see the advice on choosing an Assessor on the DofE website.

Step-by-step plans

Our step-by-step plans show you how to start fundraising and protecting marine life:

Three months

In three months you could hold a Big Blue Day at your school, organise an event, make and sell items or take on a challenge to raise money to make a difference to our seas.

Six months

Six months of fundraising can be a lot of work. Our plan makes it easier by taking you through every step so you can focus on fundraising without stress.

Twelve months

In a year of fundraising you’ll have time to do something incredible. It’s difficult to keep asking the same people for donations, so our guide shows you how to plan and run a number of activities that appeal to a range of people.

This project is funded by the Government's Green Recovery Challenge Fund. The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England, the Environment Agency and Forestry Commission.
