Overview

Seabass sustainability varies depending on whether it was caught or farmed and from where. The Best Choice is farmed bass certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), or GLOBALG.A.P., or wild-caught bass from the Bay of Biscay (excluding gill net-caught). Other wild options are OK but need improvement. Avoid wild bass from the West of Scotland.
