Overview

Grey mullet is, in general, a Fish to Avoid. They are a slow growing and late to mature species. Little is known about the population, and more management is needed to protect them. Grey mullet is rarely found in supermarkets, but it may be sold by fishmongers or served in local seafood restaurants.
